I started off the holiday by running a 5k. Known as the Turkey Trot, it's the largest somethin somethin in the state of Utah... whatever. Anyway, it was awesome. I was worried about dragging my newly pregnant bum for three miles, but I did it! I felt really good at the end, too. I started off extremely slowly... everyone passed me. Possibly even the walkers passed me. But I kept my pace the whole time, so by the middle I was passing the people who started so enthusiastically but couldn't keep the pace. So there.
Anyway, for a pregnant girl with a 9 month old baby, 39 minutes seemed like an okay time.
Then Bryan, Heidi, Jeff Braun and I hopped in the car and headed to Boise, where we met Bryan's family for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
That evening, the family was looking through Brenda's scrapbooks (which I asked her to bring for inspiration for my scrapbooking hobby) I found the perfect moment to announce my pregnancy. Heh heh. Aunt Lisa was sitting in a chair, with all her girls piled on her. Aunt Audra was reading a book on the couch, Valerie was looking at a scrapbook next to me, and some people were in the kitchen. Lisa points at a photo and says, "Oh, right now I'm pregnant." I pipe up with, "So am I."
Zero reaction. Nobody looks up from their books or leftovers in the kitchen.
