Big Adventure in the City

Go C.R. England!
Bryan and his brother Jeff ran a 5K up in Salt Lake a few Saturdays ago. He was going to stay Friday night at Jeff's house in SLC to avoid the 5 AM trip up there. Heidi and I stayed at my old roommate's house in Taylorsville. No girls allowed at sleepovers at Jeff's house... But Heidi got to play with Uncle Jeff a little bit.
Daddy's rolled up shirt makes a great hat.
Maybe not.

In the morning, Heidi and I drove to the park and watched the boys cross the finish line.
Drop and give me 20, Dad.
Then we went to the Clark Planetarium in Gateway Mall.

Mommy on Mars. It was lonely until...
I saw an alien.
Newton's Daydream

Bryan loved looking at this. It was the biggest marble roller coaster you've ever seen. Two stories of marble paths, pendulums, changing directions, hitting noisemakers, spirals, elevators... we stood there for a long time, just staring and figuring out how it worked. Bryan decided that that will be how he spends the decade from 70 years old to 80. You won't find him on the couch in front of the Price is Right, you'll find him tinkering in the garage.
Yes, that is my finger

The Tour of Utah happened to be doing it's Salt Lake City stage while we were there, so we went and cheered them on. It was awesome.
Our little fan!
